Fanduel launches sportsbooks in Louisiana and Maryland
The sportsbook will launch at the Delta Downs Racetrack Casino & Hotel in Louisiana and Live! Casino & Hotel in Maryland.
US.- Fanduel will launch sports betting in Louisiana and Maryland this week, subject to regulatory approvals.
In Louisiana, FanDuel, Boyd Gaming, and Delta Downs Racetrack Casino & Hotel have confirmed that the opening of the FanDuel Sportsbook at Delta Downs on Thursday, November 9, pending regulatory approvals.
The 2,000-square-foot FanDuel Sportsbook has three live betting windows, 30 self-service betting terminals, 22 video displays, and more than 40 seats. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place in the afternoon, and Football Hall of Famer Randy White will place a ceremonial first bet at the new sportsbook.
The next day, on November 10, FanDuel, Cordish Companies and Live! Casino & Hotel will launch legal sports betting in Maryland, again subject to regulatory approvals. The 14,000 square foot sports lounge features a 100-foot-wide media screen, two main bars, luxury viewing chairs, and VIP areas. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will feature Football Hall of Famer Ed Reed, who will place the ceremonial first bet during the morning.
