Dutch regulator fines Bet-at-home

The gaming authority found that the operator targetted local citizens without a valid gaming licence.

Netherlands.- The Netherlands Gaming Authority, Kansspelautoriteit (KSA), has revealed that online operator bet-at-home has been fined €410k after it found that the company targetted Dutch players without a gaming licence in the country.

KSA explained that bet-at-home offered games of chance to local citizens between June 14th and October 11th, 2017, and it has previously warned in 2012 and 2014. This fine comes after reports that the website was targeting players from the Netherlands through a TV channel in May 2017.

The fines were imposed on bet-at-home.com Entertainment Limited and bet-at-home.com Internet Limited. “With regard to the other parties involved in the report, a warning is sufficient,” the Kansspelautoriteit said.
