DraftKings launches online sportsbook in Puerto Rico
The launch follows the opening of the company’s retail sportsbook at Foxwoods El San Juan Casino.
Puerto Rico.- DraftKings has announced the launch of its online sportsbook in Puerto Rico. The company’s online sportsbook is available to residents following the opening of a retail sportsbook at Foxwoods El San Juan Casino in November 2025.
Eligible new customers must register in person at Foxwoods El San Juan Casino, which is run by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and hospitality investment firm LionGrove.
Gregory Karamitis, DraftKings executive vice president and general manager of Sports, said: “Puerto Rico has a passionate sports community and launching our online sportsbook allows us to meet fans where they are. With retail already live at Foxwoods El San Juan Casino, mobile represents the next step in expanding the DraftKings experience across the island—giving eligible local customers a seamless, exciting, and responsible way to engage with sports.”
In November, Casino del Mar and BetMGM announced the launch of a sportsbook at Mayagüez Resort & Casino, a satellite location for their partnership at La Concha Hotel in San Juan. Meanwhile, Hard Rock International has announced plans to work with Misla Hospitality, Stonecrest Investment Management, and The Interfin Companies to develop Hard Rock Hotel & Casino San Juan. Construction on the $850m project is expected to commence mid-year with opening slated for 2029.
