Detroit casino revenue holds steady in November
Revenue was down 0.1 per cent year-over-year but up 0.7 per cent from October 2025.
US.- The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) has reported that MGM Grand Detroit, MotorCity Casino, and Hollywood Casino at Greektown collectively generated $108.2m in revenue in November. That’s a decrease of 0.1 per cent year-over-year and an increase of 0.7 per cent from October 2025.
Of the total revenue, table games and slot machines accounted for $106.5m, up 0.1 per cent compared with November 2024 and 0.5 per cent from October 2025. Retail sports betting contributed $1.7m.
MGM Grand Detroit Casino accounted for 47 per cent of the market share with revenue of $50.7m, up 3 per cent, MotorCity Casino 30 per cent ($31.4m, down 5 per cent), and Hollywood Casino at Greektown 23 per cent ($24.4m, an increase of 1 per cent).
The three casinos paid $8.63m in state gaming taxes, up from $8.62m in the same month in 2024. They also submitted $13.2m in wagering taxes and development agreement payments to the City of Detroit.
The casinos reported a combined retail sports betting handle of $14.4m, generating $1.7m in gross receipts. Qualified adjusted gross receipts (QAGR) decreased by 10.8 per cent from November 2024 but increased by 10.8 per cent from October 2025.
The casinos paid $64,553 in state taxes from retail sports betting revenue and submitted $78,899 in wagering taxes to the City of Detroit.
