Colorado Division of Gaming and Colorado Lottery highlight problem gambling awareness at State Capitol

The initiative was hosted during Problem Gambling Awareness Month.

US.- The Colorado Department of Revenue’s Division of Gaming and the Colorado Lottery have highlighted problem gambling awareness during an event at in Denver as part of Problem Gambling Awareness Month. Staff spoke with lawmakers and visitors about available resources, including self-exclusion and tips on the division’s website.

The Gaming Division highlighted that it has awarded more than $3.7m in grants to fight problem gambling and promote responsible gaming in the state. It added that the Colorado Lottery has also achieved the highest level of responsible gambling accreditation through the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL) and NCPG’s Responsible Gambling Verification (RGV) Programme.

As of February 2026, more than 1146 Coloradans had signed up for self exclusion.

Division of Gaming director Christopher Schroder said: “For the Colorado Division of Gaming, our mission to uphold the integrity of the state’s gaming industry goes hand-in-hand with our dedication to player health. By actively promoting awareness and providing accessible resources, we ensure Coloradans have the support they need to game responsibly.”

Colorado Lottery senior director Tom Seaver added: “The Colorado Lottery looks forward every year to sharing our growth and commitment to player health at Problem Gambling Awareness Day at the Capitol as part of Problem Gambling Awareness Month. We are always improving our programme, from age verification on Lottery terminals, compliance checks, and new industry verifications, the Lottery places responsible gambling as an equal pillar to revenue and conservation.”
