Catawba Two Kings Casino to hold topping-off ceremony for permanent venue

The event will be held on October 27 and will include remarks from Catawba Nation Chief Brian Harris.

US.- The Catawba Nation and its partners in the development of a $1bn casino and hotel in Kings Mountain, North Carolina, will hold a topping-off ceremony at Catawba Two Kings Casino Resort’s permanent casino. The event will be held on October 27.

The ceremony will include remarks from Catawba Nation chief Brian Harris and others. A beam signed by Catawba leaders and local officials will be hoisted by crane to the top of the casino and placed as the final beam of the development. Work continues on the 24-story, 385-room hotel, which is now at its full height and being connected to the casino.

The project’s introductory casino phase is set to open in spring 2026. It will have 1,350 slot machines, 22 table games, a restaurant, a bar, sports betting kiosks and a rewards desk. The venue will replace the current temporary casino, which opened in July 2021.

The main casino complex is scheduled to open in spring 2027. It will be about 2 million square feet and have 4,300 slot machines and 100 table games. It will also have 11 restaurants, a players lounge, 11 bars, and 3,500 parking spaces.
