Casinos Austria proposes Lichtenstein casino
The casino operator announced its plans to open a casino in the European territory.
Lichtenstein.- Casino Austria International announced its plans to open a casino in the German-speaking microstate Lichtenstein. The gambling facility would open at the end of this year with a full range of slots and gaming tables, as well as electronic roulettes.
G3Newswire reported that the company wants to build the facility in Schaanwald, a small village near Lichtenstein’s border with Austria, and close to the Casino Bregenz. Martin Meyer from Casinos Austria International said: “A contract was concluded between the ITW Group and Casinos Austria International last year. The conversion will be started promptly with the plan for the casino to start its operations later this year. The opening date depends on the granting of the license.”
If the company’s plans to build a casino in the small European territory move forward, it would be the first one to open after a 60 year ban on gambling was lifted in 2011. Earlier this month, Novomatic also announced its plans for a casino near Schaanwald. “The competition is great and the paths are short,” said Stefan Hassler, Chairman for Novomatic subsidiary Admiral Casinos And Entertainment.
