Canada approves first live casino
Canadian iGaming market has been extended with recent license to operate a live casino.
Canada.- Gaming authorities in Canada have integrated new modality in order to expand online gaming services. The national government approved this week a gaming license to grant the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) a permission to operate live casino games in PlayNow.com platform.
The iGaming industry is stepping stronger throughout the continent and the latest expansion in Canada shows a trend that can be followed by further regulated markets. The new platform will offer live table games streamed in real-time video, which will allow gaming operators to create new job opportunities and “enhance entertainment experiences for players.”
“Popular in European and Asian jurisdictions, Live Casino is the first of its kind offered on a regulated gambling website in Canada,” states the official report. “Part of BCLC’s strategy to enhance the overall entertainment experience for players, Live Casino delivers an authentic casino experience – online – where real dealers shuffle, deal and interact with players.”
“All Live Casino operations adhere to BCLC standards, policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure online gambling experience, as well as a number of responsible-gambling safeguards. Employees must complete BCLC Appropriate Response Training to communicate effectively with players and provide problem-gambling resource information, if required. PlayNow.com is the first site to receive accreditation through the Responsible Gambling Council, demonstrating commitment to safe play.”
