BetMGM Sportsbook opens in Washington DC
The sports betting operator and the Washington Nationals have announced the launch of the first retail sportsbook connected to a major league baseball stadium.
US.- BetMGM and the Washington Nationals have announced the opening of the first retail sportsbook connected to a major league baseball stadium. The BetMGM Sportsbook at Nationals Park is open year-round and features 40 TVs with live odds boards that update as the action progresses.
Players will have the option to place wagers with cashiers at six betting windows or at betting kiosks.

The sportsbook will not be accessible by fans during attendance at Nationals games, but bets will be able to be placed via the mobile app. The BetMGM app launched in June and allows users to place mobile wagers within a two-block radius of Nationals Park.
Washington DC sports betting revenue drops in December
Washington DC sportsbooks saw revenue of $1.4m in December, down 48.2 per cent from $2.7m in December 2020 and down 65.9 per cent from the record $4.4m in November 2021.
Player spending on sports betting was also down at $19.2m, a 10.3 per cent drop from November’s $21.4m handle.
