BetMGM ready to launch mobile sports betting in New York
BetMGM will today become the fifth mobile sports wagering operator to go live in New York.
US.- BetMGM is launching its online sportsbook in New York today (January 17). The joint venture between MGM Resorts International and Entain joins Caesars Sportsbook, DraftKings, FanDuel and Rush Street Interactive to become the state’s fifth mobile wagering operator.
BetMGM’s integration with MGM Resorts’ M life Rewards programme allows customers the to redeem gameplay for experiences at MGM Resorts properties including Empire City Casino in Yonkers and Borgata in New Jersey. As an official sports betting partner of Madison Square Garden Arena, BetMGM also will be able to reward customers with VIP experiences involving the New York Knicks NBA team and New York Rangers NHL team.

Four further operators are expected to be operational in the Empire State once all regulatory approvals are finalised (Bally’s Corp, Wynn Resorts, PointsBet Holdings and Genting’s Resorts World).
Four operators – Caesars Sportsbook, DraftKings, FanDuel and Rush Street Interactive – started accepting mobile bets in New York on January 8. The first weekend of betting saw 17.2m transactions in the first two days, according to geolocation company Geocomply.
In the first 12 hours, New York bettors placed 5.8m bets, representing the biggest state sports betting debut by far – twice the size of the previous record-holder, Pennsylvania.
