Bally’s Kansas City opens expansion
The venue has added over 35,000 square feet of new gaming and retail space.
US.- Bally’s Corporation has announced that Bally’s Kansas City has opened its expansion featuring over 35,000 square feet of new gaming and retail space. The renovation represents the most significant investment that Bally’s Corporation has made in the property since its acquisition in 2020.
Bally’s says it’s added 200 new games and a dedicated high-limit slot area. The second floor offers additional games and provides a more relaxed atmosphere. The new commercial centre has a Chickie’s & Pete’s Crabhouse and Sports Bar. Bally’s representatives, including president George Papanier, and Pete Ciarrocchi, founder and owner of Chickie’s and Pete’s, participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Michael Donovan, Bally’s regional vice president & general manager – Midwest, said: “We are very excited to unveil a transformed Bally’s Kansas City. From the moment guests arrive, they will be greeted with enhanced dining and gaming experiences. We are grateful for the collaborative work of the city and the hundreds of union members who played a critical role in bringing this expansion to reality over the past two years.”
Since Bally’s Corporation took ownership of the former Isle of Capri in 2020, the company has also added the 1800 Baccarat Lounge and Celebrity Casino & Lounge.
Kansas sports betting handle reaches $94.42m in August
Kansas’s sports betting handle was $94.42m in August, up 18.4 per cent from July’s $79.7m. Of the total, $90.6m came from online betting and $3.8m was from retail wagering. Revenue reached $4.84m, 28.8 per cent lower than the $6.8m posted in July. $359,216 came from retail activity and $4.48m from online sports betting.
Boot Hill Casino and its partner DraftKings were the top performers in the online sports betting segment, according to the Kansas Lottery revenue report. Together, they generated $42.86m in bets.
