PAGCOR donates patient transport vehicles to LGUs, military unit
The initiative forms part of the regulator’s corporate social responsibility efforts.
The Philippines.- The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) has donated 12 patient transport vehicles (PTVs) to various local government units (LGUs) and an army division. A ceremony was held at the PAGCOR Corporate Office in Pasay City.
The beneficiaries were the cities of La Carlota in Negros Occidental; the provinces of Northern Samar and Ilocos Norte; the municipalities of Roxas, Culion, San Vicente, and Quezon in Palawan; Tibiao and San Jose de Buenavista in Antique; Kumalarang in Zamboanga del Sur; Tagoloan in Lanao del Norte; and the 1st Infantry (Tabak) Division of the Philippine Army based in Zamboanga del Sur.

PAGCOR chairman and chief executive officer Alejandro H. Tengco said the donations were intended to strengthen emergency response capabilities, particularly in underserved communities. “These PTVs are meant to help our local governments and frontline agencies respond more efficiently to medical emergencies,” Tengco said: “Through this program, PAGCOR fulfils the directive of president Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to help bring essential health services closer to our people, especially in areas where access remains a challenge.”
Each donated PTV is equipped with essential medical and safety features, including a stretcher, oxygen tank, wheelchair, first aid kit, and navigation system to ensure safe and efficient patient transport. To date, PAGCOR has donated 182 PTV units to provinces, cities, municipalities, and national government agencies nationwide.
