Macau: four more casinos open after closure period
Sands Cotai Central, Rio Hotel and Casino, Oceanus and Casino Eastern are now open to the public.
Macau.- Sands Cotai Central, Rio Hotel and Casino, Oceanus and Casino Eastern have all re-opened this week following the forced 15-day closure that came to an end on 20 February.
They join the 36 casinos that have reopened to the public albeit with strict measures in place to prevent any more Coronavirus outbreaks. .
Measure include wearing face masks and undertaking temperature checks on staff and visitors. The DICJ is also requesting that gaming tables be placed a safe distance apart.
Guests must also leave a space between one another when sat at a gaming table and similar rules will be applied to slot machines, with visitors leaving an empty machine between one another.
According to Inside Gaming Asia, the government also announced on Thursday that it will allow bars, pubs, clubs, Karaoke bars, cinemas, theatres and other entertainment venues to resume operations from midnight on 2 March.
