Guangdong Group donates surgical masks to Macau
In the last weeks, Macau casino and junket operators have donated more U$S22.5 million
Macau.- Guangdong Group has donated 600,000 surgical masks to the Macau SAR government through its Guangdong Charity to fight against Coronavirus.
“Guangdong Charity hopes that these masks can help the government in fighting the epidemic and it firmly believes that we will overcome the epidemic with united efforts from all sectors of the society,” a Guangdong Group representative said.
According to Inside Asian Gaming, Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture Ms Ao Ieong U said the government would distribute and use the masks to maximize their benefits for all sectors of society.
Since the first reported case of Coronavirus, Macau casino and junket operators have donated more U$S22.5 million (MOP$180 million) to help the authorities in their fight against the deadly virus.
