Grand Korea Leisure casino sales up 6.9% in July
GKL has posted casino sales of US$29.2m for the seventh month of the year.
South Korea.- Grand Korea Leisure (GKL) has shared its financial results for the month of July. Casino sales were KRW41.7bn (US$29.1m), up 6.9 per cent in year-on-year terms and up 12 per cent from June.
Table-game revenue was KRW38bn (US$26.5m), up 7.6 per cent from July 2025 and 14.2 per cent from the previous month. Machine game sales were KRW3.66bn (US$2.55m), up 0.4 per cent year-on-year. The casino drop was down 4.1 per cent year-on-year at KRW325.2bn (US$227m).
For the first seven months of the year, Grand Korea Leisure reported casino sales of KRW268.9bn (US$188m), up 8 per cent compared to the January-July period of 2025.
GKL operates three foreigner-only casinos under the Seven Luck brand: two in the capital, Seoul (including one in Gangnam) and the other in the southeastern port city of Busan. It operates as a subsidiary of the Korea Tourism Organization, which is affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. Recently, the company announced a plan to generate casino revenue of KRW503.8bn (US$333.8m) by 2030.
