SJM Holdings to extend the annual bonuses for employees
There is a list of casino industry groups that insist the national government to make the bonus obligatory.
Macau.- The casino operator SJM Holdings announced that will extend to eligible employees annual bonuses for at least another three years. According to GGRAsia, employees of the company are to receive an annual bonus named “living subsidy” from July 1, 2020 to June 26, 2022.
The company, who saw a strong third quarter this year, reporting profit of $94.24 million, explained the bonus will be equal to one-and-a-half-months’ salary, or two months’ salary, depending on the employee’s status and longevity with the company.
SJM, which operates the Grand Lisboa, Ponte 16 and others in Macau, was the first company to start with the bonus program in 2014. Nowadays, all casino operators offer some similar structure. It was supposed to end in 2020, that they are no going to extend it.
Although lot of casinos haves this bonus program, is not a guarantee in Macau. There is a list of casino industry groups that insist the national government to make it obligatory.
