Aquis Entertainment achieves record revenue in Q4
The operator of Casino Canberra has reported strong revenue for the quarter ended December 31.
Australia.- Aquis Entertainment, operator of Casino Canberra, has posted record revenue for its last quarter of 2021. It also exceeded its budgeted EBITDA for the full year despite the closures during the third quarter as a result of Covid-19 countermeasures.
Casino Canberra was allowed to reopen on a limited basis on October 29. Face masks were no longer mandatory outdoors and capacity limits for hospitality venues and major events were relaxed. Total expenses were $4.2m, of which $3.2m was for payroll, the company said. It had other operating expenses of $980,000.
In 2020, the casino was shut for almost four months due to lockdown measures, and the company cut around 90 per cent of its total workforce.
