Arizona tribal gaming contributions to benefits fund rise in Q2

The Arizona Department of Gaming has announced $44.9m in contributions for the second quarter of fiscal year.

US.- The Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG) has announced $44.9m in tribal gaming contributions to the Arizona Benefits Fund for the second quarter of fiscal year 2026. That’s a 5.6 per cent increase when compared to the same quarter of 2025.

The Arizona Benefits Fund receives 88 per cent of tribal gaming contributions. The remaining 12 per cent is distributed by the tribes to the cities, towns, and counties for community services and public safety programmes for local governments.

In Q2, contributions included Instructional Improvement Fund/Education, $22.4m; Trauma and Emergency Services Fund, $11.2m; Arizona Department of Gaming Operating Costs, $4m; Arizona Wildlife Conservation Fund, $3.2m; Tourism Fund, $3.2m; Problem Gambling Education, Treatment and Prevention, $897,825.

Currently, there are 26 Class III casinos in Arizona, which ADG regulates with Arizona tribes. In Q1 of fiscal year 2026, tribal gaming contributions totalled $46.2m. Since fiscal year 2004, cumulative contributions have totalled $2.5bn.

Jackie Johnson, director of the ADG, said: “The financial support that tribal gaming provides the state of Arizona continues to power local and statewide needs that are vital to healthy and safe communities. With nearly $45m in tribal gaming contributions in the most recent period, the Department is proud to ensure the continuation of important revenue streams that positively impact Arizonans.”

The ADG recently released October sports betting figures. The handle was $967m, up 22.2 per cent year-over-year and 13.6 per cent from September 2025. Of the total handle, $961.3m was bet online and $5.8m at retail venues.
