Arizona sports betting handle increases year-over-year in July

US.- Arizona’s sports betting handle totalled $464m in July, according to the Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG). That represents a 13.1 per cent increase when compared to July 2024 and a 14.4 per cent decrease from June 2025. The state collected $3.9m in privilege fees.

Arizona’s record monthly handle remains $867.6m set in November 2024.

The ADG has issued a warning about unlicensed online casinos and sports betting platforms after the start of the football season and in the middle of Responsible Gaming Education Month. It said there had been a rise in complaints about unregulated gambling sites, with consumers citing problems such as unclear terms, frozen accounts after withdrawal requests, and long delays or refusal of payouts.
