Tsogo Sun to showcase integrated casino resorts at Africa’s Travel Indaba 2026
The company will exhibit alongside tourism boards and international travel buyers as South Africa positions gaming destinations as full-scale tourism hubs.
South Africa.- South African casino and hospitality giant Tsogo Sun will showcase the growing role of integrated casino resorts in South Africa’s visitor economy at Africa’s Travel Indaba 2026, one of Africa’s largest tourism marketing events.
The company announced its participation at the Durban event, which takes place at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre from May 11-14, where it will exhibit at Stand ICC1916 alongside tourism boards, airlines, hotel operators and international travel buyers.
Through Tsogo Sun Gaming, the group operates some of South Africa’s best-known casino and entertainment destinations, including Gold Reef City, Silverstar Casino and Suncoast Casino, alongside its national Southern Sun hotel portfolio. Tsogo Sun said visitors would be able to “discover what makes us a leader in South African hospitality” as the company presents its integrated resort and entertainment offering.
Tsogo Sun’s presence at the trade event reflects the growing role of integrated casino resorts within South Africa’s broader leisure and hospitality economy, with gaming destinations increasingly marketed as full-scale entertainment hubs. Tsogo Sun added: “Let’s connect. Let’s collaborate. Let’s shape what travel looks like next.”
Africa’s Travel Indaba 2026 is one of the continent’s leading tourism trade events, bringing together tourism boards, hospitality groups, investors and international buyers from across the global travel sector. The programme includes networking events, investment discussions and business matchmaking sessions focused on strengthening partnerships and commercial opportunities.
The event forms part of South Africa’s wider strategy to grow tourism-led investment, trade and job creation, with Tourism Minister Patricia de Lille describing tourism as “a powerful economic lever capable of delivering immediate, inclusive, and geographically distributed impact across the country.”
Organisers say the 2026 edition, themed “Unlimited Africa: Growing Africa’s Tourism Economy”, is designed to create “business opportunities and quality connections that will shape Africa’s tomorrow.”
