Limpopo Gambling Board donates learning materials to Mopani ECD centres
The initiative falls under the regulator’s CSI programme, which supports social development projects in Limpopo.
South Africa.- The Limpopo Gambling Board (LGB) has provided toys and educational materials to two Early Childhood Development (ECD) centres in Mopani District as part of its Corporate Social Investment (CSI) programme.
According to the regulator, the donation is aimed at helping the beneficiaries, Angel Feet Care Centre and Hluvukani Crèche, create environments where children can develop essential skills through structured learning and play.
The materials are expected to support the development of cognitive, language, motor, social and problem-solving skills during the early stages of children’s education.
The LGB said the initiative is particularly relevant to ECD centres serving disadvantaged communities, where access to suitable educational resources can be limited. Learning materials and play-based resources can help ECD practitioners provide children with more stimulating activities while preparing them for the transition into formal schooling.
The handover forms part of the board’s wider CSI efforts in Limpopo. Through the programme, the LGB channels part of the revenue generated from the regulated gambling sector towards social development projects.
The LGB said it remains committed to initiatives that empower communities and strengthen the foundations for children’s educational success.
