Sun International announces date for annual general meeting

The chairman said the meeting forms part of the company’s annual statutory report for the 2025 financial year.

South Africa.- South African casino operator Sun International Limited has announced that its 42nd annual general meeting (AGM) will take place on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at The Maslow Hotel in Sandton, starting at 10:00 a.m. South African time.

In a letter to shareholders dated April 30, 2026, the chairman said the meeting forms part of the company’s annual statutory report for the 2025 financial year, which includes the notice of AGM and proxy documentation.

The company confirmed the meeting will be held physically, while also allowing shareholders to follow proceedings and participate via electronic communication using Microsoft Teams. However, shareholders joining virtually will not be able to vote electronically and must submit completed proxy forms in advance through the appointed meeting administrator, The Meeting Specialist, before the meeting begins.

The group encouraged shareholders who are unable to attend to vote by proxy in line with the instructions provided in the notice of AGM.

The board emphasised the importance of shareholder participation, noting that the AGM provides an opportunity to engage on key matters outlined in the meeting notice. Chairpersons of board committees, senior management, the external auditor and the head of internal audit are expected to be present to address shareholder questions.
