Swahili Esports Champions 2026 set to put East Africa on the gaming map

Uganda.- Uganda will host the Swahili Esports Champions 2026, bringing together players, developers and industry leaders from across the region. The high-profile summit and tournament is being hailed as a major step in strengthening and unifying East Africa’s gaming ecosystem.
Participants from Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Madagascar, Rwanda, Somalia, Tanzania and France are expected, underlining the event’s pan-regional and international significance.
The event will take place in the city of Kampala on March 7-8. Organisers said, according to Esports Africa: “The event represents a strategic gathering, competitive showcase and ecosystem‑building summit aimed at shaping the future of esports in the East Africa region.”

Organisers added: “Swahili Esports Champions 2026 is designed as a high‑level conference and esports event, bringing together key stakeholders across the East African esports value chain to foster collaboration, alignment and long‑term vision.”
