Shacks Evolution and Moja Group partner to bring culturally relevant games to Africa

Both companies see the move as a step toward sustainable growth, with Shacks Evolution expanding its reach and Moja Group refreshing its offerings for loyal customers.

Nigeria.- Nigerian-based igaming developer, Shacks Evolution Studios, has signed a partnership with Moja Group Inc., the operator of the online betting platform Mojabet, to launch two new instant games tailored for African users.

The titles, Mojawheel and Moja Citadel, will debut exclusively on Mojabet, with the developer’s full portfolio of instant games set to follow for players across several African markets.

The agreement focuses on delivering mobile games that work well on limited internet connections, a common challenge in many parts of the continent. Shacks Evolution designed these games to load quickly and incorporate elements from local cultures, making them feel familiar to everyday players. Users in urban areas or rural spots can access them without interruptions, whether on a basic smartphone or during short commutes.

Kwame Mensah, CEO of Shacks Evolution Studios, said: “We create games that fit the lives of the people who play them. This deal with Moja Group lets us reach millions while respecting Africa’s varied connections and traditions.”

The partnership leverages the strong foundation both companies have established in the region. Shacks Evolution, founded in 2021, has developed instant and crash games like Matatu, which draws from Kenyan transport culture, and Spin the Bottle. It has also collaborated with platforms such as Betway and Atlaslive to expand in emerging markets.

Moja Group, based in Mauritius, runs Mojabet in several countries including Nigeria and Senegal, offering sports betting and casino services to local players. The platform has existing deals with providers like GR8 Tech and Amusnet to strengthen its game lineup. It is also the official African betting partner for Olympique de Marseille until 2028.

Amina Diallo, Moja Group’s Chief Marketing Officer, added: “This goes beyond adding games; it’s about giving Mojabet players options that reflect their own stories. We teamed up with Shacks Evolution to make sure every spin or bet connects personally.”

Africa’s online gaming sector continues to grow, supported by a young population that prefers mobile devices and easier access to digital payments. Deals like this one help operators meet demand by prioritising simple, engaging content over heavy graphics.

For players, it means more choices that don’t require strong signals, potentially drawing in those who might otherwise skip online play. Both companies see the move as a step toward sustainable growth, with Shacks Evolution expanding its reach and Moja Group refreshing its offerings for loyal customers.
