Lottotech records growth in employee volunteering since 2020

The lottery operator said aligning employees around defined social priorities has helped strengthen relationships with communities, partners and other stakeholders.

Mauritius.- Mauritius national lottery operator Lottotech has reported steady growth in employee volunteering, with its workforce contributing 4,197 volunteer hours across 132 community projects since 2020.

The initiative has focused on eight priority areas, including education, healthcare, environmental protection, poverty reduction and social inclusion, as the lottery operator continues to integrate corporate responsibility into its long-term business strategy.

According to the company, employee participation in its volunteering programme has increased consistently since 2020, with volunteer hours rising from 703 in the programme’s first year to a cumulative 4,197 by 2025.

The lottery operator said the figures demonstrate a structured approach to community engagement rather than one-off charitable activities. It added that the volunteering programme forms part of its broader environmental, social and governance (ESG) commitments, encouraging employees to contribute their time and skills to causes that deliver lasting benefits to communities.

The company added that aligning employees around defined social priorities has helped strengthen relationships with communities, partners and other stakeholders while contributing to the development of a more resilient and purpose-driven organisation.

Lottotech said every volunteer hour represents an investment in stronger communities and supports its objective of delivering sustainable value alongside its role as Mauritius’ national lottery operator.
