Morocco.- President of European Lotteries (EL), Romana Girandon, has invited member lotteries to Morocco for the 2026 EL Industry Days as preparations for the event continue to gather pace across the international lottery sector.
Organised by European Lotteries, the EL Industry Days will take place from June 7 to 10, 2026 in Marrakech and is expected to bring together national lottery operators, regulators and major industry partners.
Industry partners and technology providers supporting the event include Scientific Games, Brightstar Lottery and Aristocrat Interactive, highlighting the growing role of digital platforms and technology in modern lottery operations.
In the official invitation to the event, Girandon said: “Connecting Europe and Africa is a unique opportunity to address our shared priorities: advancing our positive societal impact, leveraging new technologies, confronting irresponsible and illegal practices and reaffirming national lotteries as a recognisable and trusted driver of public good.”
Girandon also serves as Chief Executive of Loterija Slovenije, Slovenia’s national lottery operator.
The 2026 edition will be hosted by the National Lottery of Morocco, marking a significant moment for collaboration and knowledge exchange between European and African lottery operators as organisations across the continent modernise systems and expand digital offerings.
Held under the theme “Lotteries Bridging Continents,” the programme is expected to focus on responsible gaming, technology innovation and strategies to address illegal gambling markets.
