LONASE partners Lottotech to modernise Senegal’s lottery sector

Senegal.- The Senegalese National Lottery (LONASE) has entered into a strategic partnership with Lottotech, Mauritius national lottery operator, to modernise Senegal’s gaming sector. The agreement, signed in Mauritius during a recent benchmarking exercise, focuses on the critical areas of product innovation and internal capacity building. The partnership centres on a mutual exchange of expertise, with the immediate goal of modernising LONASE’s operational framework and expanding its product offering.
Lottotech will provide LONASE with its technology and expertise to create and launch innovative new games. As part of the agreement, LONASE staff will undergo comprehensive training in complex technical fields to boost their capabilities. The partnership aligns with LONASE’s current focus on growth and modernisation.
The decision to partner with Lottotech stems from recognising the Mauritian operator’s track record and established technological expertise in running a responsible and successful lottery. LONASE Chairman Dr. Toussaint Manga discussed the driving force behind the collaboration, emphasising the balance between growth and responsibility.
He said: “At LONASE, our ambition for excellence is inseparable from our commitment to responsible play. By partnering with Lottotech, we are choosing an experienced partner to modernise our tools and offer more suitable products, which will enrich the options for our bettors while ensuring the healthy growth of our activities.”
By partnering with Lottotech, LONASE aims to boost its internal tech capabilities and deliver better services to players. The training program will also facilitate a direct transfer of skills, enhancing LONASE’s internal expertise and operational efficiency over time.
The modernisation efforts are expected to boost revenue, ultimately contributing more to Senegal’s socio-economic development. Lottery proceeds usually fund public services and projects, making the operational health of LONASE vital for national development goals.
