LONASE hosts Gabon lottery for five-day benchmarking mission
The visit will cover areas including product development, sales, customer services and lottery technology.
Senegal.- The Gabonese National Lottery, La Gabonaise des Jeux, has begun a five-day benchmarking mission at Senegal’s National Lottery, LONASE, to study its operations and exchange expertise in the games and lottery sector.
LONASE announced the visit in a social media post on Monday, August 10, saying the Gabonese delegation would be hosted from August 10 to 14 as part of a benchmarking and experience-sharing programme.
The Senegalese lottery said the mission aims to promote knowledge transfer and the adoption of best practices while identifying new areas for collaboration between the two organisations.
The delegation is examining areas including lottery management, product development, sales and distribution, customer services and the use of technology in gaming operations. The programme also provides an opportunity to assess how LONASE manages its retail network and monitors sales across different channels.
The discussions will also likely cover operational controls, fraud prevention, player protection, responsible gambling measures and systems for monitoring gaming activity, which are central to maintaining the integrity of lottery operations.
For La Gabonaise des Jeux, the visit allows the delegation to draw on LONASE’s experience in managing lottery operations and assess practices that could be adapted to the Gabonese market.
LONASE said the initiative highlights the importance of cooperation among African lotteries in strengthening innovation, performance and development in the sector.
