Benin and Côte d’Ivoire strengthen lottery ties through LONACI expertise-sharing mission
Benin’s National Lottery is visiting LONACI in Abidjan for a four-day mission focused on sharing operational expertise, responsible gaming and industry best practices.
Benin.- Benin and Côte d’Ivoire are strengthening lottery ties after Benin’s National Lottery (LNB SA) sent a high-level delegation to Côte d’Ivoire’s National Lottery (LONACI) for a knowledge-sharing mission focused on sharing expertise and best practices.
The delegation, led by LNB SA Managing Director Marius Adanzounon, has been in Abidjan since July 21 for an experience-sharing visit that runs until July 24.
According to LONACI, the mission was inspired by the organisation’s performance and good practices, which it said have made it a recognised success model among members of the African Lotteries Association (ALA). The Beninese delegation was welcomed at LONACI’s headquarters by Director General Dramane Coulibaly, who also serves as President of the ALA, joined by Deputy Director General Abdoulkarim Ouattara.
During the visit, LNB SA officials are taking part in work sessions with several of LONACI’s strategic departments, including planning and monitoring, information systems, marketing and customer experience, sales and network management, and quality and responsible gaming.
Welcoming the delegation, Coulibaly highlighted the importance of collaboration between African lottery operators. He said: “LONACI reaffirms its commitment to promoting cooperation between African lotteries through the sharing of expertise and experiences.”
LONACI said the mission reinforces its position as a reference partner for African lotteries. “Through this mission, LONACI consolidates its leadership in sub-Saharan Africa and reaffirms its role as a reference partner in strengthening the capacities of African lotteries.”
The knowledge-sharing mission comes as LONACI advances broader operational and responsible gaming initiatives, including its push for World Lottery Association (WLA) Level 4 certification.
The visit underscores cooperation between African state lotteries as operators exchange expertise in areas including information systems, customer experience, sales management and responsible gaming.
