The high-profile bout saw Sa Thiès defeat reigning champion Modou Lô during the Royal Fight held on April 5 at the National Arena of Senegal. The victory ended Modou Lo’s reign as the sport’s leading champion and reshaped the hierarchy of Senegal’s traditional wrestling scene.
