Grand Palm Casino resort marks 30 years of operations in Botswana
The Gaborone-based casino resort is celebrating the milestone with a series of anniversary events in 2026, highlighting its role in Botswana’s land-based gaming and tourism sector.
Botswana.- Botswana’s Grand Palm Hotel Casino Convention Resort has launched a programme of anniversary events to mark 30 years of operations, highlighting the role of the property as one of the country’s established land-based gaming and tourism destinations.
Grand Palm features one of Botswana’s established land-based casinos, featuring 167 slot machines and 14 table games including blackjack, American roulette and Texas Hold’em poker, positioning the venue as a key gaming and entertainment destination in the capital.
As part of the celebrations, the property is hosting a series of lifestyle events throughout 2026, with a Gin Experience event held on March 28, while additional editions are scheduled for July 18 and November 7. The events will bring together a range of local and international gin brands, alongside live entertainment, fashion showcases and culinary experiences designed to attract visitors to the integrated resort complex.
Grand Palm Marketing Manager, Malebogo Motlaleng, said the Gin event is designed as a social gathering where guests can sample premium spirits while enjoying entertainment. “The event gives guests an opportunity to sample a curated selection of premium gin products and learn more about mixology and flavour profiles,” said Motlaleng, according to Daily News.
Guests can explore premium gin brands and enjoy expertly crafted cocktails. Several brands are expected to participate in the anniversary celebrations, including Collections by BK Proctor, Schweppes, Benju and SMC Brands.
Grand Palm Hotel Casino Convention Resort combines a hotel, casino and convention centre in Gaborone and remains one of Botswana’s best-known integrated hospitality, entertainment and gaming destinations.
