Having achieved 102 per cent of its first-half target, the lottery is calling for greater discipline and innovation to sustain momentum in the final quarter.

Burkina Faso.- Burkina Faso’s National Lottery (LONAB) is seeking to maintain its performance momentum in the final quarter of 2026 after director general Ibrahim Zarani praised the teams’ performance during the first nine months of the year.

Zarani said this during LONAB’s monthly national-colours ceremony at the institution’s headquarters on October 6. He congratulated staff for their professionalism, resilience and commitment during the first nine months.

“The results reflect the significant contribution of LONAB to the financing of strategic sectors of the national economy,” Zarani said in a statement.

As the company entered the final quarter of its financial year, Zarani urged employees to maintain the performance momentum in order to achieve the annual objectives set.

He called on staff to demonstrate greater discipline, innovation and rigour while maintaining service quality and preserving the integrity of LONAB’s procedures.

This follows LONAB’s earlier performance in 2026, when the lottery reported a 9 per cent year-on-year progression in its sales execution rate and achieved 102 per cent of its first-half target.

The lottery is also preparing for an upcoming meeting of its Board of Directors devoted to the examination of the company’s strategic files.

The ceremony formed part of the third edition of Burkina Faso’s National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC), held under the theme “Let’s produce Burkinabè, let’s consume Burkinabè,” which promotes the production and consumption of locally made goods and services.
