DR Congo.- Sports betting operator Betika has partnered with organisers of the Nzango Competition, “The League of Queens,” for its official draw ceremony on June 14, 2025, held at the Espace Evandelo of BelCampus Technological University in Kinshasa.

The event, which occurred during the sixth edition of the MIA Identity Festival, decided the matchups for the 16 teams representing different Kinshasa municipalities. The teams will face off in the group stage from August 16-19, 2025, then move on to the knockout phase on August 20, followed by the small and grand finals on August 21, 2025.

Nzango is a traditional female sport that combines dancing and singing with the kicking of legs. The sport is played by two opposing teams lined up and facing each other, with members from each team taking turns to showcase their skills and outplay their opponents.

The League of Queens competition not only supports sports development but also aims to preserve Nzango, which embodies social integration, identity and female leadership. By sponsoring the event, Betika demonstrates its commitment to promoting Congolese female sports and community engagement. Through its initiative, Betika na Community, the company plays a vital role in preserving cultural heritage and promoting well-being in local communities.

In addition to the betting operator, the event received support from the Cultural Promotion Fund (FPC), BelCampus Technological University and the IBEM Foundation.
