Kenya.- Betika held a major sporting event in Western Kenya, showcasing football, rugby, basketball and athletics, demonstrating Kenya’s leading betting brand’s support for community sport.
The action unfolded at the BingwaFest Season 2 Western Edition at the Mumias Sports Complex. BingwaFest, meaning “Champions Festival” in local language, brought together athletes from across the region to compete in high-energy contests that tested skill, endurance and determination across multiple sports.
Betika said: “As Betika Na Community, we are proud to have been present, invested and part of this experience.” The multi-sport festival provided athletes with a platform to shine, compete for prizes and engage with their communities under the banner of a brand committed to nurturing grassroots sport.
Fierce competition and lasting impact
Competition was fierce throughout the festival. Rugby and football matches were contested to the final whistle, 3×3 basketball delivered fast-paced action and athletics pushed competitors to their physical limits. Every goal, try and basket electrified the crowd, reflecting the passion Western Kenya brings to sport.
Winners in the football and rugby competitions each took home Ksh1m (€6,700), 3×3 basketball champions received Ksh500,000 (€3,350) and top athletics performers were also awarded cash prizes from the event’s overall pool.
