Bet267 officially launches in Botswana
Botswana bettors now have more choices for sports betting.
Botswana.- Bet267 has become the latest sports betting operator to launch in Botswana.
The sportsbook celebrated its entry into the Southern African market with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its Mogoditshane site on April 24. The event brought together industry leaders, media representatives, and government officials.
According to the Gambling Authority, which fully endorses the new operator, Bet267’s launch marks a major milestone in the country’s gambling market.
At the event, Emolemo Peter Kesitilwe, CEO of the Gambling Authority, said: “Today is more than a business opening; it’s a statement of intent for responsible and inclusive gambling in Botswana. We welcome Bet267 as a partner in shaping a market that is commercially viable, technologically advanced, and socially responsible.”
Bet267 has launched its operations in Botswana with eight staff members, seven of whom are women, at its Mogoditshane location. The team aims to grow its workforce to 26 locally and 109 across the country.
Kesitilwe also commended Bet267 for its corporate social responsibility initiatives. He said: “We are especially pleased by your focus on community development in Mogoditshane. Whether it’s through education, health, or youth programs, these initiatives show that responsible gambling can be a force for good.”
The launch of Bet267 gives people in Botswana more choices for sports betting. It follows the recent entry of Betway, Sunbet, and Psbet into the newly regulated market.
In a recent media chat, Betway Botswana revealed that its platform had attracted a large number of users in the jurisdiction.
