Wynn Resorts confirms cyber attack
The company has stated that hackers obtained employees’ data.
US.- Wynn Resorts has confirmed a cyber attack on its system. The company has opened an investigation and brought in external cybersecurity experts after hackers obtained employee data.
According to Reuters, Michael Weaver, chief communications officer of Wynn Resorts, said in an email that the company learned that “an unauthorized third party acquired certain employee data.”
Weaver added: “The unauthorized third party has stated that the stolen data has been deleted. We are monitoring and to date have not seen any evidence that the data has been published or otherwise misused.”
Security Week stated that Wynn Resorts was added to the ShinyHunters data leak website on February 20. It said hackers claimed to have stolen more than 800,000 records containing personally identifiable information and employee data.
