Wynn delays its Boston Harbor project
The construction of the Wynn Boston Harbor has been delayed since its announcement due to legal confrontations.
US.- Wynn Resorts postponed a few months the opening of the expected Wynn Boston Harbor along the Mystic River in Everett, in the State of Massachusetts. Several delays have been set due to the legal and environmental challenges introduced by Somerville’s Mayor Joe Curtatone. The neighbour city has opposed the landing of the casino since its announcement in 2014.
Wynn Boston Harbor will seemingly open its doors in May 2019. When the project was approved by regional authorities, famous casino operators assured that the inversion would be of US$1.7. Once the legal battles began, the number increased to US$2 billion. With the new delay, the expected inversion would reach the US$2.1 billion.
Wynn Resorts has assured it would take care of pollution on the region, especially in the Mystic River. The piece of ground used to be home to Monsanto Chemical production, which implied environmental damage.
