William Hill to launch sports betting ops in NJ

Sports betting operations will officially start on Thursday and William Hill will launch its sports book at Monmouth Park racecourse.

US.- Thursday will see the launch of sports betting operations in New Jersey, the state that defeated in the Supreme Court the Act that banned states from offering the modality. William Hill is ready to launch the operations at its sports book at Monmouth Park racecourse, in New Jersey.

Philip Bowcock, chief executive of William Hill, said: “We have a team ready for launch day at our sportsbook at Monmouth Park racecourse for what will be one of the biggest days for William Hill since it was founded in 1934.

“I’d like to thank our team in the US for preparing for this day and we look forward to welcoming customers in New Jersey and taking bets on the full range of sports,” added Bowcock.

The sportsbook at Monmouth Park was first established in 2013 after the company signed a deal to become the official partner in anticipation of the regulation of sports betting. William Hill is currently the biggest operator in Nevada, where it operates 107 sportsbooks.
