Virginia sports betting handle increases in June

US.- The Virginia Lottery has released its report on sports wagering activity for June. The sports betting handle totalled $477.8m, up 15 per cent year-over-year.

Mobile wagers totalled $472.7m and retail bets $5m. Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) was $57.1m. Bettors won $417m for a combined 12.71 per cent operators win percentage. Of the fourteen mobile operators and three casinos, twelve reported net positive AGR, leading to $8.7m in tax payments.

Gaming revenue at Hard Rock Bristol, Rivers Casino Portsmouth, and Caesars Virginia totalled $78.5m in June, up 31 per cent year-over-year and down 8 per cent from May. Slots revenue reached $58.9m, while table games posted $19.5m.

Caesars Virginia reported $30.5m in adjusted gross gaming revenue (AGR), with $23.1m from 1,451 slot machines and $7.4m from 100 table games. Rivers Casino Portsmouth reported $26.4m, with $18.6m from its 1,422 slots and $7.8m from 84 table games, and Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol posted $21.4m, with $17.2m from 1,397 slots and $4.2m from 73 table games.
