Virginia saw sports betting handle of $401.9m in February, down 17.2 per cent from January’s $485.5m.

US.- Virginia sports betting figures couldn’t keep up with the record breaking numbers from January.  In February, players wagered $401.9m, a decline of 17.2 per cent from $485.5m in the previous month. February sports betting handle was, however, 33 per cent higher than that of February’s 2021

Adjusted gross revenue was $7.9m, down 56.7 per cent from January’s $18.2m. Sports betting taxes for the state’s 11 licensed operators reached $1.4m, down 51.1 per cent from January’s $2.9m.

Virginia legalised sports betting in January 2021 and saw nearly $3.4bn in wagers in the market’s first year.
