Victoria Gate Casino to open in Leeds
The casino will become the largest in north England and Scotland once it opens its doors.
UK.- Victoria Gate Casino officials announced that the casino will open its doors to the public on January 26. Once it’s open to the public, it will become the third largest casino in the United Kingdom, and the biggest in north England and Scotland.
The casino will feature more than 140 slot machines, a poker room with a capacity of 100 players and 75 electronic gaming machines. Furthermore, up to 1400 patrons can be hoisted in the entertainment center. According to The Yorkshire Evening Post, director of the venue Patrick Noakes, said: “It’s a game changer. Not just for casino fans but for the city as a whole. Victoria Gate Casino will strengthen Leeds’ already diverse entertainment, dining and nightlife offering and will provide so much more than just gaming. Our three distinct venues – Live Bar, Curve and V Restaurant – will play a pivotal role in that.”
The three venues will also feature screens for live sports action. “Leeds has never seen an entertainment destination like this before. We can’t wait for people to step through the doors and see the spectacular space for themselves. More details of the casino’s glittering launch event will be revealed nearer opening time,” Noakes added. The casino will be operated by Global Gaming Ventures Limited, and they admitted in a report that Victoria Gate Casino is going to be extremely different to what Leeds is used to. “It is so much more than a casino, it will have everything from dining and entertainment to gaming and sports action as well as two distinct bars that we’re sure will prove a hit with customers. There will be something for everyone,” they said.
