UAE Lottery opens first walk‑in ticket outlet in Abu Dhabi
The shop features a structured layout, signage and on-site staff to assist customers.
The UAE Lottery has opened its first walk‑in ticket outlet in the M40 area of Musaffah, Abu Dhabi, adding an in‑person sales option to its previously digital‑only model. The move marks a shift towards a hybrid distribution strategy as the operator looks to make participation more accessible for players who prefer face‑to‑face interaction and cash payments
The new shop allows customers to purchase physical tickets directly and pay on site, with staff available to explain available products and assist with game selection. According to the operator, the outlet has been designed with a structured layout, clear wayfinding and dedicated customer service points to help first‑time and regular players navigate the process.
Describing the concept behind the store, the UAE Lottery said: “From bold visuals to intuitive layouts, every detail has been considered to make the customer journey smooth and engaging. High‑visibility signage and an open, welcoming interior support consistent footfall, while interactive displays and helpful staff ensure each visit is both informative and enjoyable.”
The launch comes as participation in the lottery continues to rise, largely supported by digital channels. With the addition of a retail outlet, the operator is positioning itself to serve players who favour cash-based, in-person play while potentially strengthening overall uptake.
Players aged 18 and above can buy tickets at the Musaffah shop for draw games including Lucky Day Draw and Pick 3, which remain among the lottery’s core products. The outlet complements existing digital channels rather than replacing them, giving customers the option to choose between online and in‑store participation.
The UAE Lottery reiterated that all of its games are licensed and regulated by the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA), the federal body overseeing commercial gaming and lottery activity in the country. The GCGRA has granted The Game LLC, which trades as The UAE Lottery, the sole national lottery licence under its framework, making it the only operator authorised to run a nationwide lottery alongside a limited number of long‑standing airport‑based draws.
