Tourism rises in Primorye thanks to Tigre de Cristal
Russian casino Tigre de Cristal has announced that 95 percent of its revenues come from foreign tourists, who flood the area thanks to the venue.
Russia.- Tigre de Cristal casino is apparently increasing tourism in the Primorye gambling zone thanks to its location near the local airport. Largely thanks to the casino, the passenger number flown to Primorsky Territoy rose by 30 percent in 2016 and that’s also shown by the casino’s revenues, that were increased by foreign tourists by 95 percent.
The announcement was made by Primorye Vice Governor Evgeny Polyansky who supervised the zone this week whilst meeting local deputies: “The entertainment complex is visited by about 1000 people per day, whereas the casino operators started with 100 visitors a day. The ratio of foreign and local visitors is almost proportional, but 95 percent of the casino’s revenues comes from foreign tourists,” he said about the complex run under Summit Ascent Holdings via its subsidiary G1 Entertainment LLC.
Next to Polyansky, Andrei Folomeyev, the corporation’s head, told the local deputies that it plans to invest in the zone’s first stage of development US$1.2 billion by 2022 and expects the project to cover 263 hectares by then.
The second stage started in 2016 and is projected to last until 2019 and consists of the construction of the next entertainment facility in the zone by Cambodian investor NagaCorp Ltd. The Mayak is expected to become the largest venue in Primorye and is already undergoing the second stage of earthworks. The facility is set to be launched in 2019 and includes an hotel complex of 11 storeys and 279 rooms, a casino and a 2,000 square-meters hall.
The Diamond Fortune Holdings Prim is also expected to put into operation its facility by 2019: the Selena entertainment complex. It is now in the earthwork stage and will also have an 11-storey hotel but this one will have 295 rooms and a casino.
