Stockman’s Casino completes renovation at Fallon property
The Nevada casino has expanded its slot offering and introduced a Boomer’s Sportsbook wagering kiosk.
U.S.- After a year of work, Stockman’s Casino concluded a major upgrade at its Fallon, Nevada property, on September 18. The renovation covered the casino’s 8,600-square-foot gaming floor as well as its kitchen, café and back-of-house operations.
The gaming area now houses 235 slot machines, up from 189. More than half of the machines were replaced, while the casino retained its four table games and added new carpeting and an upgraded HVAC system. The kitchen was replaced and the café rebuilt in what General Manager Lou Capone described as “a more classic style.”
Boomer’s Sportsbook, the Nevada-focused operator, installed a wagering kiosk at Stockman’s about five months ago. Customers must verify their identity in person at the casino before using the Boomer’s app to place bets statewide. William Hill previously operated the sportsbook at the property.
“We’re excited to have inherited a great team and a building with great bones, but it was a bit tired,” Capone told the Nevada Appeal. “So we reinvested in it to bring it back to close to where (Jim) Peters had it when he sold it many years ago.”
Stockman’s first opened in Fallon in 1955, serving the local agricultural community and cattle ranchers. The current building was constructed in 1969 by Ken and Glenda Bendickson and Herb Peters, who later became the property’s sole owner. Peters retired in 1989 and transferred the casino to his son Jim and daughter-in-law Kathryn. The Peters family continued to operate Stockman’s until Full House Resorts acquired the property in January 2007. Clarity Game Nevada LLC, led by David Ross and Michael Gaughan III, acquired the real estate for $9.2m in September 2024 and took over casino operations on April 1, 2025.
Joe Asher is among Clarity Game Nevada’s minority partners. Asher is a Gambling Hall of Fame inductee and previously led IGT’s sports betting business for nearly three years, until June 2024.
