Nevada gaming revenue rises 2.1% in July

State tax collections also increased in August based on gaming revenue generated during July.

U.S.- Nevada’s 453 casinos generated $1.4bn in gaming revenue in July, a 2.1 per cent increase from the same month last year, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB). The Las Vegas Strip led the growth, with gaming win rising 3.6 per cent to $776.3m.

Gaming revenue across Clark County, which includes downtown Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Laughlin, the Boulder Strip and Mesquite, increased 1.5 per cent to $1.2bn. The slot handle increased 4.8 per cent year-on-year, while the table drop rose 24 per cent, including a 43 per cent increase in baccarat volume.

The North Las Vegas gaming win increased 3.4 per cent to $25.4m, while revenue in Laughlin rose 0.1 per cent to $41m and revenue in Mesquite declined 0.5 per cent to $15.1m.

The Downtown Las Vegas gaming win fell 8.6 per cent to $68.5m, Boulder Strip declined 2.5 per cent to $ 82.6m and Clark County fell 1.2 per cent to $164m.

Northern Nevada recorded some of the state’s strongest percentage increases. The Wendover gaming win rose 15.1 per cent to $24.4m, Elko County 13.5 per cent to $ 36.8m, and the county’s outlying areas 10.3 per cent to $12.4m.

Sparks reported a 9.5 per cent increase to $ 17.2m and Reno 1 per cent to $76.8m. North Lake Tahoe revenue declined 5.6 per cent to $2.9m, while the rest of Washoe County increased 11.8 per cent to $8.8m.

The Carson Valley area, including Carson City, Gardnerville, Minden and the rest of Douglas County outside South Lake Tahoe, saw revenue rise 1.1 per cent to $12.5m.

Nevada collected $98.5m in gaming taxes in August based on taxable revenue generated in July. The amount represented a 3.4 per cent increase from August 2025.
