Stats Perform signs deal with Argentine football body

Data company Stats Perform signed a deal with Argentine football body AFA, which governs professional activity in the country.

Argentina.- Sports betting is soon to arrive in both the city of Buenos Aires and Buenos Aires province. That’s why many companies are pushing to launch in the country before the segment launches, both operators and others.

That’s why Stats Perform signed its own Argentine deal with football’s governing body AFA. The five-year agreement involves the rights to global betting video and data. It runs across competitions including Superliga Argentina, Copa Superliga Argentina, Argentina Cup and Recopa Argentina.

Stats Perform will collect and distribute Argentine official fast data, deep data and Watch&Bet video streams for over 600 matches per season to licensed global sportsbook operators.

Alex Rice, Chief Rights Officer for Stats Perform commented “Argentine football means fierce rivalries, passionate fans and top-quality teams and players. For many football fans, watching a club game in Argentina is a bucket-list ambition. We’re delighted to be able to bring this level of sports entertainment to our global betting partners and their customers.”

Bidding process, nearly done

The sports betting and online gaming segment in the Province of Buenos Aires will arrive in the coming months. Local regulator IPLyC will award seven licences soon and preselected 14 companies in July to compete for them.

Buenos Aires’ IPLyC received and signed respective documents on the 14 proposals. During the bidding process, the regulator will dismiss seven projects. The remaining companies will receive a sports betting licence for the Province of Buenos Aires.
