Sports betting gets closer in Buenos Aires

There are officially 14 companies that have been preselected by regulator IPLyC for one of the seven sports betting licences that the Buenos Aires body will issue.

Argentina.- The sports betting and online gaming segment in the Province of Buenos Aires will arrive in the coming months. Local regulator IPLyC will award seven licences soon and has preselected 14 companies to compete for them.

Buenos Aires’ IPLyC received and signed respective documents on the 14 proposals. During the bidding process, the regulator will dismiss seven projects. The remaining companies will receive a sports betting licence for the Province of Buenos Aires.

The event

IPLyC’s president Matías Lanusse presided the event. Vice-president Juan Martín Malcolm, head of Finance & Administration Laura Constancio & Provincial Games director Nicolás Bulygin also attended.

Local Horseracing & Casinos director Rafael De Apellaniz, Systems director Sabrina Minim & Government’s Notary Marcos Rospide were present as well.
