New sportsbook in Greater Cincinnati launches
On Monday, Rising Star Casino Resort opened the doors of its new sportsbook, expanding the offering in Greater Cincinnati with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
US.- The sports betting industry continues to grow in the US. That’s why a new sportsbook has launched in Greater Cincinnati last monday.
Rising Star Casino Resort became the latest to open its sports betting operation in the region. The BetAmerica venue launched with a ribbon cutting ceremony that included former NFL players from the Cincinnati team.
It is the second sportsbook to launch in Greater Cincinnati, and will continue to lure Ohioans across the border to Indiana. That, since the latter allows sports betting, unlike its neighbour.
Casinos praise sports betting
The legalisation of sports betting in the US has helped several states to obtain more revenue. Casinos have reported a boost in their operations recently, and Indiana doesn’t seem to miss this sports betting trend. Local casinos have explained how sports betting is helping them be more successful.
Blue Chip in Michigan City is one of the facilities in the state that have benefited from sports betting. In September, the casino registered more than US$2.8 million in sports betting and a boost in its sports bar, as revenue rose 250%.
“We’re seeing a lot of new customers in our table games area that are coming here just to bet. They come in here to place wagers on sports and head to the casino,” said Brenda Temple, VP and GM.
