Some Nevada casinos remain closed despite state reopening
While restrictions have been lifted in the state, several casinos in Nevada are still closed.
US.- Since June 1, all casinos in Nevada have been allowed to open at full capacity, but several casinos remain closed.
Off the Strip, Boyd Gaming’s Main Street Station and Eastside Cannery have been shuttered since March 2020. Last year, Boyd executives said that Main Street Station would open sometime this year.
Boyd held a recruitment event last week to prepare for the reopening of venues. However other venues will stay closed for another six months to a year, or possibly even more.
This month, Station Casinos’ Texas Station and Fiesta Rancho casinos placed their “non-restricted gaming, non-restricted gaming liquor and full liquor off-sale business licences” on hold for the second year in a row, citing the state’s “uncertain economic conditions.”
