Slot machine revenue down in Pennsylvania

The state’s gross revenue from slot machines suffered a 1.7% decrease in October.

US.- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) posted on its website the monthly report for total revenue generated from the play of slot machines at casinos during October’s operations in the state.

The report indicates that October’s gross revenue from slot machines at the state’s 12 casinos was US$186.2 million, a 1.7% decrease when compared to the US$189.5 million generated during the same month last year. Tax revenue from slots machines was US$97.1 million.

The PGCB said that the average number of slot machines operating on a daily basis was 25,407 during October 2018, approximately 500 less than the 25,941 that were operating at local casinos in October 2017.

The biggest jump in revenue was experienced by Rivers Casino, which registered a 3.60% increase to US$22 million, while the casino that suffered the biggest decrease was Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin, which reported US$2.1 million in revenue, a 17.9% difference when compared to October 2017.
